Lavender

I just trimmed the lavender ready for this year - a nice fragrant gardening
"chore".

Instant conversion - no math!

These inexpensive tools take the math out of crafting!

For the two sided tape measure - make sure the zeros are at the same place on each side on the one you buy/use - then just turn over to "convert".

Needle gauge - mm/US on one side - mm/Imperial on the other.
Just poke your needles through to check if they are the right size.

This way you can follow any pattern and just use the same units as the original.

Dream Big !

My daughter loved the Olivia books when she was little and was recently given this book full of inspirational quotes and fabulous drawings - perfect for young ladies who loved Olivia and now need to start dreaming big. It was there when I was taking photos of the completed snood and just seemed so fitting.

January 19th - a great day for Fire !

I really like the way that Colinette use dates instead of batch numbers - it seems to add to the history of the work.

Both of these were dyed on January 19th, 2011.

The chunky one was knitted on Feb. 5th and worn on Feb. 6th.

The kid mohair should be finished before the end of the month.

On Fire!

Colinette Point 5 - Fire!

I wanted to buy this before Christmas, but there was only one left..

Didn't think it would come back until next winter, but it did ...

I could just wear it like this!!

LC's quilt in progress

This is being beautifully made by a lady who had never used a sewing machine before!

There will be pink buttons in the middle of all of the green squares and two borders (a narrow pink one and then a broad mustardy green one).

More photos in a couple of weeks - when it's finished!
